Who we are

Category Is Travel LLC was filed with the Wyoming Secretary of State in 2026 by Ethan Reynolds. The desk grew out of a simple frustration: travelers kept getting bounced between affiliate landing pages that promised “exclusive fares” that disappeared the moment a credit card was entered. We wanted a single, plain-English page that shows the published number first, then the partner that lets you book it.

Today the company runs out of a registered office at 1910 Thomas Ave., Cheyenne, WY 82001-3527, in Laramie County. We are a US-only operation. We do not consult for travel suppliers, we do not own a media network, and we do not have an outbound sales team.

What we actually do

• Read published fares from nine major US carriers every time a visitor runs a search.
• Rank the results by price, duration, or departure time — whichever the visitor asks for.
• Hand off booking to the airline directly, or to a licensed aggregator (Kayak, Skyscanner, Google Flights). The booking finishes on their side, with their credit card form, their cancellation rules.
• Publish weekly fare notes when something unusual moves — a route opens, a carrier cuts capacity, a holiday week opens early.
• Reply to traveler email questions inside one business day, in plain US English.

What we do not do

• We never collect a card number or charge a booking fee. The booking always happens at a partner.
• We do not sell trip insurance, mileage-program services, refundable upgrades, or visa services.
• We do not run paid placements that move a fare to the top — the sort order on a results page is what it says it is.
• We do not store your itinerary. The search panel keeps your last route in your own browser (localStorage) so it is one less thing to retype.

How we are paid

We earn an affiliate commission when a traveler clicks a partner deeplink and completes a booking on Kayak, Skyscanner, or Booking Holdings properties. The commission is paid by the partner, not by you, and it does not change the price you see — you see the same number whether you visit Kayak directly or through us. The team

The desk is intentionally small. One US-based airfare specialist reads every email, one editorial lead writes the weekly fare notes, and one developer maintains the search ranker. We do not list employee headshots or LinkedIn profiles because, frankly, they would not change the quality of the price you see.

How to reach us

The fastest path is the contact form — it routes straight to the airfare desk. Phone calls go through to a US number; if we are mid-research we will return the call the same day. Mail goes to the registered office in Cheyenne and is forwarded once a week.
